Jewelry from Your Family’s Dishes

It would be my pleasure to turn a piece of your family china in to shard jewelry. The process begins with a discussion about the shard and the memories you are trying to preserve. From there, I work to create the perfect piece based on your specifications.

Antique Shards

Many of the dish shards I use in my artwork date back more than 150 years. During that era, English transferware in colors such as blue, brown, mulberry, and red were among the most popular.

It is also common to discover dishes with handpainted designs, art glass, and porcelain with gilt decoration.

A majority of my antique shards are recovered along the southern coast of Ireland and other locations on the Emerald Isle.
