HANDCRAFTED SHARD JEWELRY

Fashioned from fragments of vintage and contemporary china, each piece of my shard jewelry has been selected to showcase the decorative highlights of its original pattern. These ceramic fragments have been salvaged from broken or discarded china and represent a folk art known as Pique Assiette or "stolen from the plate." Both unique and beautiful, this handcrafted, wearable art preserves the decorative heritage and tradition of heirloom china.
